Spent a lovely girls day with Carmen, she took me out for lunch at Inatei. I could seriously eat Japanese food everyday! Inatei has been my go to Japanese restaurant for a la carte meals and every visit I’ve been satisfied, the quality of the ingredients, presentation of the food and the service have always been great!
They have a lunch menu and every item comes with miso soup & a green salad.

I had the chirashi sushi which basically is scattered sashimi on a bed of rice. It was pretty good but I’m not a fan of the mackerel (silver fish)? and the one with the yellow egg thing, so next time I would probably ask to just get salmon.

Carmen had the chicken udon. I’ve had the udon here before and it was pretty good and Carmen seemed to enjoy considering she ate the whole thing.

We also ordered the tempera appetizer to share, I didn’t think it was worth $8.99 for how little we got (two pieces of shrimp & 4 pieces of soggy vegetables). Having that said the shrimp were huge and pretty good. Next time I would just order shrimp tempera or Shrimp tempera udon.

We finished off the meal with black sesame ice cream. Usually they give him a complimentary dessert like earl grey pudding or some sort of pudding but they were sold out and the manager was quite nice about giving us a choice of ice cream.
But if you want a more cost efficient way to satisfy your sushi craving, I would highly recommend Gal’s sushi. Cheap & very delicious.
